Mummified LA Babies Died In 1930s
The bodies of two babies have been found in a Los Angeles flat after possibly lying undiscovered for 80 years.
The mummified remains were found wrapped in newspaper from the 1930s.
The bodies were discovered in a trunk in the basement of the apartment by cleaners on Tuesday.
The babies appeared to be wrapped in pages of the Los Angeles Times from 1930, along with tickets to the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
An official from the Los Angeles coroner’s office said the bodies of the children had a mummified appearance.
Authorities are also attempting to discover the identities of the babies after finding letters referring to family members in the trunk.
How long the babies have remained in the basement or how they got there still remains a mystery.
The coroner’s office is trying to determine the cause of death.
