Two new stars to join Loose Women?
Former ‘Countdown’ host Carol Vorderman and ex-‘Coronation Street’ star Sally Lindsay have reportedly been drafted into ‘Loose Women’ in a bid to boost ratings.
The pair are to replace Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler who were axed from the show last week.
The move comes after bosses at ITV saw ratings for the daytime chatshow drop, causing fears that the long-running format had become tired.
They will join regular panellists Denise Welch, Lisa Maxwell, Lynda Bellingham, Andrea McLean and Carol McGiffin, who have all signed for the next series.
“Carol and Sally are a done deal,” said a source on the show. “They were always popular choices, and bosses think they will be a perfect fit for the panel. They both bring a unique personality and sense of humour, which will hopefully sit well with the remaining regulars, but neither of them are afraid to speak their mind.
